Mumtaz Centre

Kyrgyzstan

Mumtaz Centre focuses on protecting the rights and interests of public and municipal services users. Since 2012 the organization has partnered with MSDSP, with the aim of creating and developing the Centre for the Public Monitoring of State and Municipal Services. In 2013/14, the activities undertaken by the centre’s monitoring groups were supported by the SOROS Foundation Kyrgyzstan within the framework of their "Public Administration" Program. Mumtaz Centre actively and successfully uses innovative methods of public monitoring, such as the STOPE Analysis monitoring tool, to ensure the provision of a variety of services to the local populations of Osh city and Osh region. In 2015, Mumtaz Centre started to use another innovative Public Monitoring tool – DevelopmentCheck - to monitor the development projects implemented by their partner organizations in Osh city and Osh region in 2015. By using DevelopmentCheck, Mumtaz Centre has been able to promote the quality and integrity of external aid and the implementation of international development projects in Kyrgyzstan.
